EVERYDAY SPREADSHEET WORK
What can an AI spreadsheet assistant do for you?
Most spreadsheet work is not hard. It is just slow and easy to get wrong. These are the jobs people hand to RowSpeak most often.
01
Write and fix formulas
Describe the result you want and get a working Excel formula, without remembering VLOOKUP or nested IFs. Formulas already in your file stay in place; RowSpeak only changes one when your request needs it.
“Add a column that shows Late when Delivery Date is after Due Date.”
02
Combine Excel and CSV files
Stack monthly exports into one table, or match records from two files using a shared ID.
“Join orders and customers by Customer ID and keep every order.”
03
Split and tidy columns
Break apart names, addresses, codes, or anything joined in one cell, and pull out the part you need.
“Extract the email domain into a new column.”
04
Clean messy data
Remove duplicates, fill blanks, and standardize dates and text so your totals add up.
“Remove duplicate rows by Order ID and make all dates YYYY-MM-DD.”
You have options. This is how they compare when the job is “change my actual file.”

The right choice depends on how you work. If you spend all day inside Excel, an add-in may suit you. If you want a finished file from several messy inputs, RowSpeak is built for that.
“I think it has the most value for advanced computation.”

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
AI spreadsheet assistant FAQ
What to expect before you upload your first file.
What is an AI spreadsheet assistant?
It's a tool that changes and analyzes spreadsheet data from plain-English instructions. With RowSpeak, you upload a file, describe the task, review the result, and download it. No formulas or code required.
Is RowSpeak free?
Yes. You get 10 free conversations every month, and you don't need a credit card. See the pricing page if you need more.
Can AI write Excel formulas for me?
Yes. Describe the calculation, such as “blank if revenue is zero,” and RowSpeak writes the formula into the cell. Formulas are kept in the .xlsx you download.
Will my existing formulas and sheets be kept?
Yes. RowSpeak doesn't remove the formulas in your file. It only adjusts a formula when your request needs it. Check anything your work depends on before you replace your original file.
Can AI read Excel files?
RowSpeak reads Excel (.xlsx) and CSV files, plus tables in PDFs and images. It understands the columns and rows, so you can refer to them by name in your request.
Do I need an Excel add-in?
No. RowSpeak runs in your browser. Upload the file, work in chat, and download the result.
Does it work with Google Sheets?
Not directly yet. Download your sheet as .xlsx or .csv (File → Download), upload it to RowSpeak, then import the result back into Google Sheets.
How is this different from ChatGPT or Copilot in Excel?
With a general chatbot, you usually paste data in and rebuild the result yourself. Copilot works inside Excel and depends on your Microsoft plan. RowSpeak takes your whole file, or several files, and gives back a finished .xlsx or .csv you can check first.
Is my data safe?
Files are stored in encrypted, secure storage and are never used to train AI models.
Can it combine several files at once?
Yes. Upload them together and say how to combine them: stack rows from similar files, or match records using a shared column like Order ID.
How do I check the result?
Compare a few totals and the row count with your source file. Look at unusual rows, and ask RowSpeak to explain or adjust anything that looks off.
Can I schedule tasks to run automatically?
Not yet. For now, start each task by uploading your file and sending an instruction.
