What is data cleansing?
Data cleansing (also called data cleaning or data scrubbing) means finding and fixing problems in a dataset before you use it: duplicate rows, inconsistent formats, extra spaces, wrong data types, blanks, and obvious typos. Clean data gives you totals, charts, and reports you can trust.
What does an AI data cleansing tool do differently?
Instead of writing formulas or building query steps, you describe the problem in plain language. The AI works out the steps, applies them, and lists what it changed so you can review the result.
Which files can I clean?
RowSpeak works with Excel files (.xlsx, .xls) and CSV files, including exports from CRMs, ERPs, e-commerce platforms, and survey tools.
Will RowSpeak change my original file?
You get the cleaned data as a result you can review and download. Keep your original file as a backup, and check the change list before you replace anything.
How is this different from Excel's Remove Duplicates?
Remove Duplicates only catches exact matches. RowSpeak can also match rows that differ only by case or spacing, and it handles dates, number formats, labels, and blanks in the same request.
Can I clean data with AI for free?
RowSpeak offers a free trial. Create an account and try it with your own file. See pricing.
How do I know the cleaned data is right?
Read the change log, spot-check a few rows against the source, and pay extra attention to ambiguous dates, filled blanks, and flagged outliers. Ask RowSpeak to explain any change you are unsure about.
What should I know before uploading business data?
Check your organization's data-sharing rules and remove fields you do not need, such as personal IDs, before you upload. Read the Privacy Policy.
