30-Player Match Prediction Scoring and Ranking Template

This Excel workbook is built for a football prediction contest with up to 30 participants. It contains six worksheets: 1) Match Setup – you enter the real match score and the name of the goal scorer; 2) Players – a list of all participants; 3) Predictions – each player records their exact score guess, 1N2 outcome and chosen scorer; 4) Scoring Engine – formulas compare predictions with the real result and award 5 points for an exact score, 3 points for a correct 1N2, and 2 points for the correct scorer; 5) Match Ranking – a table that shows points earned by every player for the current match; 6) Overall Ranking – a cumulative table that sums points from all matches played so far. Dropdowns in the Predictions sheet limit entries to the listed players and to the three possible 1N2 outcomes, reducing entry errors.

How to use

1. Open the Match Setup sheet and type the official final score and the name of the goal scorer.
2. In the Predictions sheet each participant fills in their guessed score, selects 1N2 (Home‑Draw‑Away) from the dropdown, and picks a scorer from the list.
3. The Scoring Engine updates instantly, populating the Match Ranking sheet with each player’s points for that match.
4. After each new match, repeat steps 1‑3; the Overall Ranking sheet will automatically refresh to show the total points accumulated across all matches.
